Join us annually in July at Steam Labs Technology and Robotics studio, nestled in the heart of vibrant Bangkok, for an exhilarating 12-day adventure into the world of VEX Robotics. Designed for aspiring engineers and tech enthusiasts, our camp offers two immersive programs: VEX IQ and VEX V5.

Under the expert guidance of our seasoned VEX Robotics coaches, students will embark on a transformative journey, acquiring a diverse range of skills essential for success in robotics and beyond. Here’s a glimpse into the timeline of key skills throughout the camp:

Introduction to VEX Robotics

Day 1-3
  • Familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of VEX Robotics platforms: VEX IQ and VEX V5.
  • Explore the components of the robotics kits and learn how to assemble your first robot.
  • Dive into the basics of programming, mastering essential commands and logic flow.

Mechanical Engineering Marvels

Day 4-6
  • Delve into the principles of mechanical engineering, understanding concepts such as gear ratios, torque, and friction.
  • Engage in hands-on activities to design and build robust robot structures capable of withstanding various challenges.
  • Experiment with different mechanisms and learn to optimize your designs for efficiency and performance.

Mastering Iterative Design

Day 7-9
  • Embrace the iterative design process, refining your creations through experimentation and analysis.
  • Harness the power of prototyping to rapidly iterate and improve upon your robot's functionality.
  • Cultivate problem-solving skills as you troubleshoot and overcome obstacles in your design journey.

Advanced Programming and Competition Preparation

Day 10-12
  • Take your programming skills to the next level, exploring advanced techniques such as PID control and sensor integration.
  • Prepare for friendly competitions and challenges, putting your robots to the test in simulated game environments.
  • Collaborate with fellow campers to strategize and fine-tune your robots for optimal performance.

Our camps operate from 10:00 to 12:30 for VEX IQ and 13:00 to 16:00 for VEX V5, ensuring optimal learning environments tailored to each program’s unique curriculum. With a limited number of spots available—only 12 students per program—participants benefit from personalized attention and mentorship from our dedicated coaches.
